Island Records signs Adrian Eagle ahead of debut EP ‘Mama’
Adrian Eagle has joined the Island Records Australia family, just in time to release his debut EP.
It’s been a meteoric rise for Eagle, from singing covers just a few short years ago to featuring on Hilltop Hoods’ platinum single ‘Clark Griswold’ (peaking at #16 on the TMN Hot 100).
He’s also released breakout singles ’17 Again’ and ‘AOK’, which were both added to full rotation on triple j.
Now he’s inked a label deal with Island, and announced that his debut EP MAMA will be out September 20.
“Adrian Eagle is an incredible talent with a unique and beautiful voice that impacts listeners instantaneously,” said Scott Music Producer & A&R Consultant for Universal Music.
“The buzz around his new music is infectious. It’s very exciting to be working with Michael Taylor (Managing Director of Universal Music Australia), and the team on supporting Adrian in his next phase of record making.”
Eagle’s debut EP will feature three new singles, as well as recent single ‘Housing Trust’ which pays homage to his hometown of Adelaide.
MAMA also features production by KIAN and Baker Boy collaborator Jerome Farah.
“The EP has been a work in progress for the past few years of my life, and lyrically accumulating the lessons I learned throughout my entire life up until this point,” Eagle said.
“MAMA is deeply personal for me and I can’t wait to share it with you all. This one is for all of the mama’s in my life and my gift back to the one mother we all share – big love!”
Adrian Eagle will showcase at BIGSOUND next week before hitting the road with Tones and I in September.
He’ll keep up the momentum supporting Hilltop Hoods, before his own headline MAMA EP national tour, tickets go on sale at 12pm.
