International Social Media Chart Wrap: November 18

Justin Bieber maintains his strongholdon #1 of theTMN International Social Media chart, still leading ahead of Taylor Swift at #2. It looks like it’s going to stay that way for quite some time given his new album Purposewas released on Friday.

It’s a quiet chart up until #7 with Demi Lovato taking a new peak up from #8, pushing Nicki Minaj down to #8.

Chris Brown holds #9 while Wiz Khalifa stands strong at #10 following his jump there last week. Though Brown is leading on the chart, Wiz Khalifa actually holds a higher percentage of engagement rate with his audience per day, averaging at 16.7% over the last seven days in Australia, whileChris Brown only sits at 10.62%.

The key difference here is the amount of valuable engagement the two are creating. This is where Brown excels, the majority of which is in Facebook, ranking at #8out of every other artist on Facebook while Khalifa comes in at #20. With a total combined audience of just over 41 million, Chris Brown leads 12% ahead of Khalifa’s almost 37 million, the biggest mediums lacking being his Instragram following which lags at 8 million opposed to Brown’s 18 million.

Kanye West moves into the Top 15 at #12 from #23 while a small but notable jump in the chart (from #16 to #14) is seen from Ed Sheeran, no doubt attributed to his featureon Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself. This activity pushes his engagement rate to just under 31%, interacting with 7 million people via his social media over the past seven days.

It’s Sheeran’sTwitter which drives the most of this traffic, making up his best engagement percentage and largest audience, ranked 15th overall while his total combined audience is just shy of 24 million.

Skrillex hits #16 from #18 while The Weeknd makes it back into the Top 20 at #20 from #22.

Sia makes it into the Top 30 at #28 from #31 taking a new peak as Olly Murs does the same to the Top 40 bracket, moving to #37 from #41.
