INgrooves expands label partners with Doghouse, Kitsuné and Hit City

INgrooves, the provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services which lists the Australian Independent Records Association (AIR) among its partners, has signed on three more labels.

INgrooves Music Group, which is comprised of INgrooves Distribution Services, INresidence Artist Services and INgrooves Rights Services, will lend its services to US independent labels Doghouse Records and Hit City USA as well as French music and fashion brand Kitsuné. The agreement with Kitsuné will cover the US and Canada.

Artists under the Doghouse Records name include The All-American Rejects, Get Up Kids and Say Anything. Collectively, its roster has sold almost six million albums and more than 15 million songs worldwide.

Doghouse Owner Dirk Hemsath said: “I started this label when I was in high school out of a love for music and the scene.INgrooves is on the cutting edge of music distribution and label services and the perfect partner for this next phase of Doghouse Records.”

Los Angeles-based independent record label Hit City USA launched in 2008 and is artist-owned and operated. Its roster includes includes PAPA, Lord Huron, Shy Girls, Superhumanoids, Astronauts, etc., Calvin Love, Avid Dancer and James Supercave. Its next release is the debut LP from Oakland's Astronauts, etc. in June and the third album from Los Angeles' Kisses in August.

Kitsuné released its first artist album in 2005 with Hot Chip; the music, fashion and design company went on to sign Two Door Cinema Club, whose debut LP Tourist History hit #16 in Ireland, #24 in the UK and #44 in Australia. The band’s last LP, Beacon hit #4 on the ARIA chart.

Kitsuné’s upcoming releases through INgrooves/INresidence in the US and Canada includes the new Citizens! LP European Soul, on April 14, Heat EP the Rooms on April 28, Beau’s Debut on May 4 and the Kitsuné compilation album America 4 on May 26.
