Also, Digital Strategy Manager Cameron Walsh is tapped to lead the label services team and oversee management of Inertia Music & [Integral] label services clients and their releases.
In his new role as Director of Label Services, Walsh reports to Cho.

The team includes recently-promoted Marketing Manager Fiona Priddey, Label Managers Brendan O’Keeffe and Joshua Gibbs, and Digital Manager Vanessa Bartel.
The promotions keep coming, as A&R and Label Group Coordinator Sophie Brown rises to A&R and Marketing Manager – [PIAS] Australia, reporting to Head of Marketing Mari Stuart.

“I’m so excited for the future of our Label Group with the addition of Liz and promotion of Sophie, both of whom exemplify the passion for music and dedication to our artists that [PIAS] Australia is all about,” comments Stuart. “Watch this space.”
In addition, Sales Account Manager Phoebe Kwan will assume Janine Rankin’s Product Operations Manager duties when Rankin takes Maternity Leave at the end of the month.
Inertia continues to grow, as the company hits the recruitment trail for a Label Group Coordinator and Sales Account Manager, both based in Sydney.
The incoming Label Group Coordinator will be expected to assist in the research, delivery and amplification of all [PIAS] Australia’s repertoire, while the Sales Account Manager is a nine-month contract role, providing outstanding sales and customer support to the business’ physical retail customers with a focus on independent record stores.
Back in April, Inertia Music was rebranded to [PIAS] Australia, a fraction over four years after the business changed hands.
Founded in March 2000 by Ashley Sellers and the late Justin Cosby as a cutting-edge label and a distributor of fine tunes from overseas, Inertia expanded as it matured by offering a suite of services to artists and labels across sales, marketing, publicity, touring and merchandise.
[PIAS] (or Play It Again Sam Group) was established in Belgium in 1983 by Kenny Gates and Michel Lambot and grew into one of Europe’s leading independent music groups.
[PIAS] made its move into Australia when it acquired Inertia Music in a deal that took effect on April 1, 2017.
Today, the enlarged business is one of the top four independent music companies by revenue in these parts.
