Independent Chart Wrap: Vance Joy re-enters high
AIR Singles
It’s another week at #1 for Flume’s Say It ft. Tove Lo, with Hayden James providing the first bit of competition at #4 from #5 with Just A Lover, a new peak. Sia further secures her presence in the Top 10 with Elastic Heart moving up to #7 from #9, one of four of her tracks in the bracket.
Outside the Top 10, Flume’s Lose It hits #11 from #14, a few spots below its previous peak at #8. Hermitude re-enters at #14 with banger The Buzz ft. Mataya & Young Tapz while Emma Louise’s new single West End Kids debuts at #18.
AIR Radio Play
It’s a stagnant Top 3 on the AIR Radio Play chart again with Flume holding #1 with Say It ahead of Sia’s Cheap Thrills and his other track Never Be Like You,which was recently named the most successful single of 2016 so far.
Vance Joy makes the first change at #4 with the re-entry of Fire And The Flood. He also sees a new peak of Straight Into Your Arms which cracks the Top 10 at #9 from #12.
Joel Adams re-enters the chart at #16 with Please Don’t Go while The Rubens debut at #19 with Switchblade. Slumberjack’s Open Fire ft. Daniel Johns finally earns a debut, coming at #20.
AIR Albums
Sia holds the Carlton Dry Independent Albums chart at #1 with This Is Acting ahead of Russell Morris’ Red Dirt Red Heart, which moves back to #2 from #6. Courtney Barnett sees a move back up to #7 from #10 with Sometimes I Sit And Think, And Sometimes I Just Sit, as does Sticky Fingers’ Caress Your Soul at #8 from #11.
Replacing them at #11 is a re-entry from The Jezabels’ Synthia. Hermitude’s Dark Night Sweet Light re-enters at #15 followed by Urthboy’s The Past Beats Inside Me Like A Second Heartbeat at #16.
