Independent Chart Wrap: The Getaway Plan debut at #1
AIR Singles
Hermitude’s The Buzz remains at #1 for another week on the Independent Singles chart this week. Debuting a #2 is Flume’s remix of Collarbones by Turning while one other debut makes its way into the Top 10, that being Hermitude’s Searchlight featuring Yeo. The Jungle Giants’ Kooky Eyes sees a debut at #16 while Flume’s Holdin’ On re-enters at #20.
AIR Radio Play
The Buzz by Hermitude remains at #1 on the Radio Play chart as well this week, though Searchlight featuring Yeo sees a strong debut at #2, meaning Hermitude now holds the Top 2. Sia’s Elastic Heart sees a move back up to #3 from #5 while the lower portion of the Top 10 sees plenty of movement. Starting at #7 up from #18 is Kucka’s Flux 98, while Crepes’ Cold Summers moves to #8 from #18. Three more debuts take place in the chart this week with The Paper Kites’ Electric Indigo entering at #10, Airling’s Stallin’ enting at #11 and Lurch & Chief’s Echo at #20.
AIR Albums
The Album chart sees a new debut take the #1 spot this week with Melbourne legends The Getaway Plan’s Dark Horses. They debut ahead of Sia’s 1000 Forms Of Fear which moves back up to #2. #1 Dads’ About Face sees a move back into the Top 10 at #8 from #12 while King Parrot’s Dead Set takes back #12 from #17. Two re-entires come in at #16 and #20 with Geoffrey Gurrumul Yunupingu’s Gurrumul and Thundamentals’ So We Can Remember, respectively.
