Independent Chart Wrap: King Parrot & Hermitude debut high

The Carlton Dry Independent Singles chart sees Sia’s Big Girls Cry hit #1, up from #2. Replacing Sia at #2 isThe Buzz by Hermitude featuring Mataya & Young Tapz. Asta’s Dynamite sees a new high point at #4 up from #6 while Joelle’s Wish I Never sees a debut at #5. No notable movement occurs outside the Top 10 though a new debut and re-entry comes in at #19 and #20. Sons Of The Easts’ Sons Of The Best debuts at #19 while Flume & Chet Fakers’ Drop The Game re-enters at #20.

The Independent Radio Play sees a familiar Top 3 with Sia’s Big Girls Cry and Elastic Heart at #1 and #2, while Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Matay & Young Tapz holds #3. Sheppard’s Geronimo moves back up to #4 while The Jungle Giants’ Every Kind Of Way sees a jump to #5 form #9, a new peak. San Cisco’s Magic hits a new peak at #7 from #19, as does Sia’s Chandelier (Four Tet Remix) at #9 from #13. Ben Wright Smith’s No One climbs to #13 from last week’s #20.

Hermitude debuts at the top of the Albums chart this week with Dark Night Sweet Light, pushing Sia’s 1000 Forms Of Fear to #2. Another new debut comes in at #2 with King Parrot’s Dead Set followed by a debut at #6 from Fozzey & VanC’s No Feat. King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard’s Quarters! sees a re-entry at #14, no doubt thanks to their current tour of the country with Gizzfest.
