Independent Chart Wrap: Boo Seeka debuts high

AIR Singles

Holding fast at #1 on the Carlton Dry Independent Singles chart for another week is Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us which leads ahead of a quiet Top 5.

At #6 is the first bit of movement this week as Vance Joy’s Georgia takes a new peak at #6 up from #11, landing ahead of his ownsingle Riptide, which remains at #7 for another week. Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Mataya & Young Tapz re-enters the Top 10 at #9 from #14.

Outside the Top 10, Wafia’s XXIX debuts at #12 ahead of a re-entry at #16 from Violent Soho’s Like Soda. Vance Joy sees his third single in the chart, Mess Is Mine, move back up to #15 from #18 rounding off the last notable movement in the chart.

AIR Radio Play

It’s a similar scene on the AIR Radio Play chart with Marcus Marr & Chet Faker still holding #1 with The Trouble With Us. Boo Seeka earn a high debut with Fool, while Emma Louise sees similar success with Underflow debuting at #8.

Urthboy’s Long Loud Hours featuring Bertie Blackman takes a new peak at #7 from #12, as does Thirsty Merc’s The Goodlife at #10 from #16.

One notable re-entry comes in at #12 with Gordi’s Can We Work It Out while Alpine’s Shot Fox and San Cisco’s Snow re-enter at #19 and #20 respectively.

AIR Albums

The Ten Tenors maintain their hold on the Albums chart with Our Christmas Wish as Sia returns to #2 yet again with 1000 Forms Of Fear.

Hermitude’s Dark Night Sweet Light moves back up to #5 from #10, while Seth Sentry’s Strange New Past hits #7 from #11. Only one new debut comes in this week, that being The Tongue’s Hard Feelings at #17. Seth Sentry’s This Was Tomorrow re-enters at #19.
