Iggy Azalea calls out Aus record label over Maxim cover
Iggy Azalea has called out her Australian label over the latest issue of Maxim Australia.
The Mullumbimby-born artist features on the cover of the magazine as she topped its Maxim Hot 100 list, a ranking of the Australia’s most beautiful women.
Azalea took to Twitter today to reveal it’s the second time her label allowed her image “to be sold” to a magazine.
“australian label, I love you guys but you allowed my image to be sold to cosmo Aus when I told you I would prefer for that not to happen.
“and now this morning I see you’ve allowed maxim australia to buy an image from a 2011 complex mag shoot and put it on the cover.”
Azalea releases her music in this territory through Universal Music Australia.
The Maxim Hot 100 list also featured The Wolf of Wall Street actress Margot Robbie, Sunrise co-host Samantha Armytage, Miranda Kerr, Jennifer Hawkins, Jessica Gomes, Rebel Wilson, Lara Bingle, and Jessica Mauboy.
