Icehouse reschedule Perth shows after medical emergency
After three spectacularly received shows in New Zealand, Icehouse’s first two Australian shows of their 40 Years! Live tour this week have to be scrapped. An unidentified band member was hospitalised due to a “medical emergency.”
The two dates at Perth’s Crown Theatre were scheduled for Wednesday February 1 and, on doctor’s orders, Thursday February 2.
“Iva (Davies) and the rest of the band are making sure he has the greatest of care,” Icehouse commented on Facebook.
The shows are now rescheduled. Tickets for the Wednesday show are now automatically transferred to Friday June 16. Thursday’s show has been moved to Saturday June 17.
Refunds are offered from Ticketmaster for those who can’t make the new dates.
Last night the band posted, “Icehouse sends apologies to the fans who missed out on the shows this week for their disappointment and for any inconvenience caused. We thank the team at Crown for their understanding and support.”

As part of the 40th celebrations, a 10-album career-spanning box set Icehouse – The Complete Collection is out on February 17 on CD and digitally. All the albums are now available on streaming services, and the debut Icehouse album (when the group was called Flowers) has been issued on vinyl for the first time since its original release.
Icehouse have sold over three million albums locally, more than nine million internationally, and have achieved 28 Platinum album sales in Australasia.
