Hozier kicks off iHeartRadio Australia Live series

PRESS RELEASE:

Australian Radio Network and Emotive today announced that iHeartRadio Australia Live, the US inspired and culture defining music events program, will kick off its 2015 series with global superstar Hozier. The Irish singer-songwriter will take to the stage later this month to perform an intimate gig at brand new entertainment venue The X Studio, in Sydney’s Kings Cross.

Hozier shot to global success after his debut single ‘Take Me To Church’ reached the top 3 in the US, UK and Australian charts. The single, which is 3 x Platinum in Australia is taken from his self-titled debut, Hozier. He was also recently nominated for Song of the Year at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards.

Building on the success of the 2014 iHeartRadio Australia Live series featuring Lily Allen, Kylie Minogue, and Ed Sheeran, ARN has teamed up with Emotive to evolve the consumer and brand offering, delivering consumers even more unique content whilst providing brands new ways to engage with passionate music loving audiences.

The invitation-only event will be held on Tuesday, March 31. KIIS FM is the presenting partner and lucky KIIS listeners who are registered with iHeartRadio can win their way into this money-can't-buy concert experience.

Prior to the gig, an exclusive presentation will be made to industry insiders announcing some exciting new iHeartRadio Australia initiatives.

Geraint Davies, COO and Head of IHeartRadio Australia said “After the success of the iHeartRadio Australia Live events last year, our new partnership with Emotive will enable us to expand the depth and breadth of music genres included in the 2015 iHeartRadio Australia Live series. This will enable even more music fans to experience the music and artists they love, whilst ensuring brands can engage with these audiences before, during and after these unique intimate experiences.”

Simon Joyce, CEO of Emotive added “iHeartRadio Live is a US phenomenon and in its short history has engaged over 250,000 event goers with gigs including Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Artic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran, One Direction, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Iggy Azalea and many more. In partnership with ARN’s dominant FM networks KIIS and Pure Gold, we plan on taking the branded live music event experience to the next level here in Australia. We are very privileged to have Hozier launch this series and it signifies the start of what will be a really exciting journey. We firmly believe that this offering will be superior to anything else in market.”

The iHeartRadio mobile app is available for download in the iTunes and Google Play app stores.
