Brisbane singer-songwriter Hope D signs with Select Music
Rising Brisbane artist Hope D has released a new single and announced that she’s signed with Select Music.
More specifically, she’s signed with Select’s Rob Giovannoni, whose eye she caught while performing at Byron Bay’s Splendour In The Grass.
Her new single is titled ‘Second’ and follows her debut cut ‘Swim’ that garnered over 200,000 streams and a finalist spot for the Bily Thorpe Scholarship.
Just last week, Hope D took out the inaugural Emerging Artist award at the 2020 QMAs.
“After hearing “Swim” and seeing HOPE D play at Splendour In The Grass last year – we just had to work on the project,” Giovannoni told TMN.
‘We are excited to be working with HOPE D. We see a bright future for this amazing talent!”
Hope D has also announced a debut headline tour of the east coast, which will see her take in dates in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, and support duties for a Boy & Bear show.
“I was super keen to sign with Select Music, I’m such a huge fan of the artists that they work with and I really love everything they do,” said Hope D.
“They’re very accommodating and passionate about me as an artist, and they were super interested after I only had one song out. Rob came at the perfect timing too, after a quick email and phone chat, he got to see me play at Splendour and from there it felt very natural!
“Rob sees a big picture for Hope D, and it’s safe to say it has already been such a fun ride. Really proves that it’s only the beginning, and I’m keen for what’s to come!”
Tickets for Hope D’s forthcoming tour are on sale now.
