Hip-Hop specialist AUD’$ unveils Artist Services Division, expands team
Australian hip-hop digital media specialist AUD’$ is on the bounce with the launch of a new Artist Services division, and a raft of new appointments.
Based in Melbourne, AUD’$ (pronounced a-u-dollars) adds artist services to its activities, with a new unit aimed at developing emerging and existing Aussie talent.
Having already delivered successful press campaigns for KSI, HP Boyz, 66 Records and others, the new division will offer a broad range of services from strategy to content creation, mentoring, and publicity.
Alongside the fresh venture is the recruitment of music journalist Ben Madden (Cool Accidents, NME), who will contribute his talents to the press services team, while the blog component of the network will undergo a restructure.
Meanwhile, Frank Tremain is promoted to Editor, after two years as a writer and curator.
Tremain succeeds host and co-founder Matthew Craig, who becomes Director of Content.
“Our team has worked tirelessly behind closed doors for many years now resulting in a wealth of knowledge and experience across all areas of the industry,” comments Chris Vaughan, Director of Partnerships & Communications.
“We’ve recently built very strong and prosperous relationships with some of the biggest hip-hop names and brands in the world, and feel the time is now right to offer our skills and expertise directly to artists in the AU.”
As part of the changes, Vaughan, former Media Diversity Australia Operations Director, will continue to oversee the company’s strategy, partnerships, and communications, while Bennett Marshall will work closely with emerging and existing Australian talent to help their development as musicians, utilising the facilities at Bundoora headquarters Marshall Street Studios.
The brainchild of founder and Director Junor, AUD’$ opened for business in 2016 and enjoyed a banner 2021, during which time the team partnered with Tiktok on the launch of #HipHopHub, and its top brass enjoyed a stint hosting triple j’s Hip-Hop Show.
