Red carpet and awards presenters announced for Golden Guitar Awards ceremony
The Toyota Golden Guitar Awards has revealed who will be presenting the pre-ceremony red carpet and the awards on the night.
The ceremony will be held this Saturday from the Tamworth Regional Entertainment and Conference Centre. Kicking off the proceedings on the red carpet at 5:30pm (AEDT) will be country artists Jasmine Rae and Casey Barnes.
Additionally, a huge number of award presenters have been announced, including Adam Harvey, Allison Forbes, Angus Gill, The Buckleys, Cass Hopetoun, The Weeping Willows and more. Industry names such as Michael Chugg and KIX Country Radio’s Justin Thomson, as well as Tamworth Region Mayer Col Murray, will also be presenting awards.
The new list of presenters will join previously announced hosts of the ceremony, Andrew Swift and Catherine Britt, as well as performers Fanny Lumsden, Melody Moko, Shane Nicholson, Amber Lawrence, Aleyce Simmonds, Kirsty Lee Akers and Dianna Corcoran, among others.
The Golden Guitar ceremony won’t have an in-person audience, with the exception of a handful of industry executives. The awards will be livestreamed from the Toyota Country Music Festival’s website, as well as the ABC Landline Facebook page.
“As we worked towards planning the 2021 awards, both operationally and fiscally, it became clear that a live presence here in Tamworth was precisely what the industry needed,” executive producer Peter Ross said at the time.
“While audiences will not be able to witness the atmosphere at TRECC, they will be able to experience the sensational show via the online stream.”
Last week, Keith Urban was awarded the 2021 Golden Guitar Award for Top Selling Australian Album of the Year with his record The Speed of Now Part 1, which debuted at #1 on the ARIA Albums Chart upon its release.
