Future Classic & Dropbox announce LA studio residency for unsigned artists

Aussie label Future Classic has announced a new opportunity for unsigned artists to use its LA recording studios.

The studios opened in April 2018, and are operated by FC in collaboration with Dropbox.

Now they’ll host a new studio residency to enable unsigned artists from around the world to work in the space.

From June to December, Future Classic is flying out a handful of artists for the residency, who’ll receive help from the FC team in setting up writing and recording sessions with other artists, writers and producers.

There will also be opportunities for exposure to a steering committee of industry mentors comprising agents, concert promoters, managers, label and publishing executives and creative professionals in music and beyond.

Successful applicants will also win a free year of Dropbox

Coinciding with the announcement, Future Classic and Dropbox have also announced three free-with-RSVP parties in London, LA and Sydney.

The Sydney event will see performances by Basenji, Jeida Woods and Yergurl at Oxford Art Factory on June 5.
