Frontier Touring’s Chief Commercial Officer is heading overseas for a major new gig.

On Wednesday (May 7th), it was announced that Andrew Spencer will relocate from Sydney to London this summer to take on the role of Chief Operating Officer for AEG Presents Europe, the joint venture partner for Frontier Touring, an affiliate of Mushroom Group.

Spencer will take over the live events company’s operational coordination across the region, with a focus on strategic alignment and regional growth, reporting to Adam Wilkes, President & CEO, AEG Presents Europe and Asia Pacific.

“Spence is a proven leader with a sharp strategic mind and a deep understanding of the live entertainment business,” Wilkes said in a statement.

“We’ve built a strong working relationship over many years, and he has been instrumental in the success of our Australia and New Zealand operations. I’m excited to continue that partnership as we expand our footprint across Europe — there’s no one better suited to help shape our next chapter.”

Spencer has worked with Frontier since 2019, over four of those years being CCO. Prior to his time there, Spencer spent three years as COO of independent promoter Chugg Entertainment and was “instrumental in restructuring and integrating Chugg into Frontier when it was acquired in 2019.”

Frontier struck a joint partnership with AEG Presents later that year.

“I’m super excited to join Adam and the AEG Presents team in Europe to help drive expansion across the region,” Spencer said.

“The opportunities with our current and future partners are vast. I’m proud to have been a part of the broad Frontier team in Australia, and they are well placed for continued success across the live industry.”

In March 2022, Spencer was promoted to CCO as part of a new-look, four-strong leadership setup, as the concerts giant restructured its executive and leadership teams for the busy road ahead.
