Face The Music kicks off next week
Face The Music is all set to kick off next week on Friday November 14. The conference and showcase continues through to Saturday November 15.
A wide array of speakers and performers will be present to discuss everything from the Australasian acts that have infiltrated the international market and the Splendour forum debate, which poses the question, ‘Will there ever be another Elvis?’
Keynote presenters include Steve Albini, Harley Evans, Jen Long, John Wardle, Vanessa Hutley, Frank Rodi and Daddy Cool. The Living End will also be holding a conversation hosted by APRA AMCOS which will see the band discuss the highs and lows of their recording process.
Additionally, there will be twelve small creative workshops and one-on-one industry meetings alongside the recently added session, ‘Vote For Me! State Election – the Parties bring it!’, which will have representatives from five political parties detailing their support of the contemporary music industry.
Face the Music 2014 takes place at the Arts Centre Melbourne and the full list of speakers can be found at facethemusic.org.au.
