Face the Music adds new political session with The Basics’ Kris Schroeder
Face The Music has added a new session to this year’s conference called, ‘Vote For Me! State Election – the Parties bring it!’
Taking into consideration the growth of Victoria’s contemporary music industry in the last four years and the $1 billion value of the live music industry, the major parties have put their weight behind the sector by funding Music Victoria. They have also promised everything from contemporary music hubs to export programs should they be elected.
With the Victorian State Election just a few weeks away, representatives from five political parties are set to come together at Face The Music to detail and talk up their track records of support for the contemporary music industry. Additionally, they will outline their vision and policy commitments for the next four years.
With Richard Willingham (Fairfax Media Political Correspondent) moderating, the session will feature speakers Hon Edward O’Donohue (Minister for Liquor and Gaming Regulation, Liberal Party), Martin Foley MP (Shadow Arts Minister, ALP), Sue Pennicuik MLC (Victorian Greens), Fiona Patten (Leader, Australian Sex Party) and Kris Schroeder (Leader, The Basics Rock ‘n’ Roll Party) .
