Exclusive: Woodes inks UK/EU booking deal
24-year-old Melbourne artist and producer Woodes, aka Elle Graham,has signed to the UK’s Coda Agency, TMN can exclusively reveal.
Coda agent Michael Harvey-Bray will handle all of Woodes’ bookings throughout the UK and Europe. Harvey-Bray also represents Mura Masa, Jones, Jai Wolf, and T. Williams, among others.
“I was intrigued by Woodes’ sound from the first track I heard (online) and am excited to be working with Elle and her team to build the story in Europe,” said Harvey-Bray.
Woodes joins Coda’s roster of global talent, including FKA Twigs, AlunaGeorge and London Grammar, as well as fellow Australian artists Sia, Fraser A Gorman, Vera Blue and Tkay Maidza.
Woodes told TMN:“I’m really looking forward to working with Michael to start doing some shows in Europe. It’s a part of the world I’ve always wanted to visit, and to be able to introduce my music there is beyond exciting.”
Woodes’ single The Thaw, the second single from her upcoming debut EP, has been added to full rotation on triple j and triple j Unearthed.
The co-write with Melbourne songwriter and producer Lanks has also been profiled heavily across Spotify and included in various Australian and Scandinavian playlists, including The Indie Mixtape, New Music Norway, New Music Deutschland and Spotify Finland.
The Thaw has cracked the Top 50 in Russia and debuted at #12 on the iTunes Norway Alternative Chart.
Among the online praise for the track, including Pigeons and Planes, Rolling Stone and Grazia, US actress Emma Roberts tweeted the track to her 3.6 million followers.

Woodes played her third live show ever under the moniker at last year’s BigSound conference in Brisbane. While Coda’sMichael Harvey-Bray didn’t attend this month’s sold out BigSound, the signing comes days after her showcase at the conference.
