Exclusive: Inertia staffer launches management & client services company, incgnto

Inertia Digital Media Manager Eva Trifonas has launched her own management company and signed four-time WAMI Award winner KUČKA.

Launching this week, Incgntopromises to be a ‘cocoon for intriguing artists’ with a focus on more challenging sounds, TMN can exclusively reveal.

Trifonas finishes up at Sydney-based indie label Inertia next week (July 5) todevelop and promote left-field acts under aglobal strategy.

Perth-based artistKUČKA, Incgnto’s first signing, has already achievedlocal and international success. She reached#2 on the US Billboard Emerging Artist charts with her first single Divinity, took out last year’s Stoney Roads Breakthrough Producer of the Year award, and among her four WAMI Awards is the coveted Song of the Year for her track Unconditional. Among her collaborations are A$AP Rocky, Cosmo’s Midnight, Dro Carey and Flume. KUČKA is also the writer behind two tracks on Flume’s ARIA #1 LP Skin;they are Numb & Getting Colder and Smoke & Retribution.

KUČKA (aka Laura Jane Lowther) said of the signing: “I’m very excited to be working with Eva, she is super switched on and creative. Incgnto’svision is perfectly in tune with my music so I feel it will be the right match to take me to the next level in my career.”

During her three years at Inertia Trifonas worked on ground-breaking artists such asAphexTwin,Baauer, Caribou and Japanese Wallpaper and managed the company’s radio relationships (including key stakeholder triple j). She was also responsible for leading their digital marketing and social media strategies for all artists and the Inertia brand. Prior to Inertia, Trifonas spent three years at Ministry of Sound Australia as part of the marketing team.
