Exclusive: ibis Hotels partners with Deezer for new music platform
ibis Hotels have entered the music industry in a new partnership with global music streaming service Deezer.
Via interactive music platform and booking portal ibis Play, the hotel brand will offer music related competitions, guest access to regularly updated geo-localised gig guides, tastemaker curated playlists, reviews, news, photo galleries and exclusive ibis Hotels-created content featuring local acts.
ibis has also entered a partnership with Cake Wines to host "a series of out-of-the box ideas."
ibis is also offering greatrates for the Australian music community, starting at $109 per night. It’s also giving 15% of the room rate back to punters to spend at the hotel bar when purchasing the ‘Paint It Red’ package.
Bridie Commerford of Accor Australia said: “We’ve worked incredibly hard to develop an offering that today’s young music fans will enjoy and find actual tangible value in. We understand that typically these guys travel far and wide for shows and festivals, as such the accommodation tends to be of little significance to the overall experience. ibis Hotels can now however, play the role of trip planner, enabler and host, whilst providing exclusive opportunities that no other hotel can provide.
"We want you to join us as we give you a front row seat and a backstage pass to all of our upcoming ibis Hotels events, competitions, industry discounts, partnerships & the continued evolution of the ibis Hotels brand”.
Deezer offers digital music streaming services in more than 180 countries, with 16 million monthly active users and six million paid subscribers worldwide. It boasts 35 million songs and over 30,000 radio channels.
Established in 1974, ibis is one of the first economy hotel chains in the world, with 1012 hotels in 59 countries.
