Major Lazer
Peace Is The Mission
(WMA) Out May 29

Announced two weeks ago and set for physical release on May 29, dance hall collective Major Lazer’s Peace Is The Mission is set to be one of the more relevant releases in the first half of the year. The album, which features commercial radio hit Lean On featuring MØ (previously #1 on the TMN Hot 100 and all digital charts) will no doubt have a plethora of emotive dance hits that will cover an even wider array of EDM areas that we’re yet to hear. The collective’s third album may prove to be their most successful yet with previous releases such as Aerosol Can featuring Pharrel Williams and Watch Out For This laying the groundwork and getting alternative and dance radio on board, the former peaking at #10 on the ARIA Dance chart and the latter peaking at #28 on the TMN Dance chart. Head honcho of the collective and founder of label Mad Decent, Diplo, may be at his most relevant point in the months leading up to the release, no doubt capitalising on all the spotlight and success that has come with his project with Skrillex, Jack Ü. The project's hit single Where Are Ü Now featuring Justin Bieber currently charting at #12 on the TMN Hot 100. American digital and satellite cable channel FXX (received by 77 million households) has recently premiered the Major Lazer animated series which is now up to its second episode, further pushing out his image to a wider and more encompassing audience than Diplo's been exposed to in the past.
