eMusic Live to launch in Australia with Crowded House livestream

Global live streaming platform eMusic Live is looking to solidify its Australian presence with a livestreamed Crowded House performance this weekend.

Crowded House: Live From The Island will air on the platform this Saturday (June 12) at 6pm and 8pm AEST in support of the iconic Antipodean band’s latest full-length effort, Dreamers Are Waiting, with tickets available for both sittings here.

Launched last year as a joint partnership between 7digital and eMusic, eMusic Live allows for artists, venues and labels to make the most out of livestreams by integrating sponsorship and engagement opportunities.

Each eMusic Australian livestreamed event is curated by a team of veteran music executives, including Danny Keenan (previously Warner Music, Albert Music, Foxtel), renowned producer Hilton Rosenthal (Paul Simon, Carole King, Hans Zimmer) and Hylton Chilchik, who will head tech production and operations of eMusic Live in Australia.

Celebrating the launch of the platform in Australia, eMusic’s president and chairman of 7digital Tamir Koch highlighted the potential for artists to use the livestreaming platform as an advanced engagement tool to reach their audiences.

“We are very excited about the Australian market and the wonderful acts our great team has assembled and look forward to working with further exciting artists,” Koch said.

“Our live streaming platform, eMusic Live, allows artists the opportunity to engage with fans in new ways and to bring a global audience to their shows. eMusic Live strives to provide the most advanced commercial features to support live shows including in-platform promotional opportunities and VIP experiences, so artists can continue to engage with their devoted and enthusiastic fans.”

eMusic Live also hosted Tina Arena’s Enchanté – The Songs of Tina Arena from Perth’s RAC Arena last month.

Other upcoming events set to air on the platform include livestreams from The Veronicas, The Chats, Cosmic Psychos and Hoodoo Gurus.
