Ed Sheeran to headline Nova’s Red Room Global Tour

Ed Sheeran, Jason Derulo and Adam Lambert are among the seven artists taking part in Nova’s Red Room Global Tour next month.

Back for a second year, the tour will take in London, Dublin, Dubai and Sydney and also featuresCraig David, Rudimental, Jamie Lawson and Aston Merrygold. Itkicksoff on July 20 and runs for 11 days. The tour will be followed againby Smallzy’s Surgery,which will be hosted throughout the tour.

Tony Thomas, NOVA Entertainment’s Chief Marketing and Digital Officer told TMN the return of the tour will see more entertainment taking place in between each Red Room Globaldate.

“The two major passion points for our audience are music and the travel experience so this year we are dialing up the experience for the attendees in between the Red Room Live shows,” said Thomas. “This will especially be the case in London and in Dubai where there will be a number of exciting things planned for the group.”

Thomas told TMN the tour’s headliner Ed Sheeran and its partner Qantas were the key deciders on how the international cities were chosen.

“To have the caliber of artist Ed Sheeran as the headlining act in Dublin and the fact that the Qantas’ route through to London was an important showcase for our airline partner made the decision an easy one. And also we never like to do the same thing twice!”

The Red Room Global Tour also aims to give its listeners and partners extra content including short and long form online video, social feeds, live streaming on Twitter via Periscope, and on-air interview and performance content on Nova’s national shows as well as Smallzy’s night show.The content will be distributed via Nova’s partners: Optus, Qantas and Boom Video and on all Nova’s digital and social channels and across the Nova network nationally.

Nova Entertainment’s live music brand is giving 28 Nova listeners a chance to win seatsvia each of its breakfast shows and nationally with Kate, Tim & Marty from July 6.

Since launching in 2012, Nova’s Red Room has produced over 70 events featuring international and local acts including Usher, Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Sam Smith.
