Dramatico, Sarah Blasko & Paul Kelly’s former UK label, dissolves
UPDATE: Dramatico Entertainment Ltd showed ’cause to the contrary’ regarding a dissolution prior to the public filing, which reversed the UK Companies Registrar’s notice. This means Dramatico was not struck off at this juncture. Its most recent financial filing made up to 30 September 2020 can be viewed here.
After 17 years of business, UK independent music company Dramatico Entertainment is dissolving.
As reported by MBW, Dramatico Entertainment Ltd will be dissolved by the UK Companies Registrar by early November.
Among its roster of 20 artists are Marianne Faithful, BRIT Award nominee Kate Melua, Welsh pop star Jem and Australia’s own Sarah Blasko and Paul Kelly.
Blasko’s musical works are now licensed through the Mvka Music – the UK label in which Dramatico’s ex-Managing Director Andrew Bowles is a shareholder.

Meanwhile, Paul Kelly now releases his music through Cooking Vinyl outside of Australia.
Founded by songwriter/producer Mike Batt in 2000, Dramatico has offices in Surrey and Germany and in addition to its music projects it also focuses on the pre-production of television, film, and stage shows.
The documents filed at the UK’s Companies House state Mike Batt relinquished his position as Director of the company on August 10.
As MBW notes, the company’s 2016 accounts were to be publicly filed by end June 30, but remain outstanding.
