Drake and Scooter Braun just bought into an Esports company together

Drake and Scooter Braun have officially branched out into the Esports world. Joining apparel and competitive gaming franchise 100 Thieves.

This was announced earlier this week by the company upon the completion of their Series A funding round — which was co-led by Braun and Drake, who have both become co-owners.

Drake and Braun join former Call of Duty world champion Matthew “Nadeshot” Haag and chairman of the Cleveland Cavaliers Dan Gilbert. 100 Thieves currently has Esports teams competing in Fortnite, League of Legends, Call of Duty and Clash Royale.

Haag has stated: “I’ve spent my ten-year career in esports growing the ecosystem and am proud to have Drake and Scooter join as my partners to help take 100 Thieves to new heights.” He continued “Our top priority is to win world championships, but our ambitions go far beyond competitive gaming. With Drake and Scooter’s support, we’re going to build a lasting brand on the back of the content and apparel that our fans have come to love, aggressively expand into more games, scale our apparel business, and build a world-class management team.”

Braun has delved into his decision to join the 100 Thieves team, explaining “He has a clear vision for where esports is going and how to build an amazing brand within it, and that’s why I wanted to bet on him and 100 Thieves”.

100 Thieves has previously collaborated with Drake on his Scorpion tour, they also have plans to release an apparel line together, as Engadget reports.
