Dot Dash signs Melbourne artist Memphis LK
Memphis LK has been welcomed into the Remote Control Records family, with the label today announcing the artist’s signing to Dot Dash Recordings.
The artist, producer, vocalist and DJ joins Dot Dash with the release of her new single ‘Roses’.
The track was premiered on triple j’s Home & Hosed program overnight, and tackles Australia’s tall poppy syndrome, with lyrics imagining a world where artists celebrate each other’s success.
Memphis fell in love with electronic music six years ago and taught herself Ableton, before kicking off her career by reverse engineering Detroit electro, UKG and breakbeat to create her own futuristic music.
The signing and single release come with an official video for ‘Roses’, directed by her sister Maddy Kelly, along with Bryce Padovan.
Memphis LK will play two ‘Roses’ single launch shows, in Melbourne and Sydney during November.
