DNCE performs on The Voice finale on Sunday, drops new music
US band DNCE announced they will perform in the finale of The Voice finale on Sunday – and this morning dropped a new EP People To People.
“These new songs represent the evolution that the band has gone through over the last couple of years. They’re a little more chill, sophisticated. We’ve matured together, and so has the music,” said DNCE frontman Joe Jonas.
DNCE will perform the track ‘TV In The Morning’ on The Voice finale, which also wraps up the Channel 9 show’s seventh season and Jonas’ first as coach.
The performance should reach over 1 million.
Last year, the show’s finale drew 1.306 million overnight metros.
In 2016 the figure was 1.15 million and 1,5 million the year before.
DNCE head to Europe next week to join Bruno Mars on tour.
They play Barcelona (June 20), Madrid (22), Saint-Denis France (30), Glasgow (July 10), Dublin (12) and London (14).
DNCE includes bassist and keyboardist Cole Whittle, guitarist JinJoo, and drummer Jack Lawless.
Formed in the summer of 2015, their debut single ‘Cake By The Ocean’ (Republic/Universal) went Top 5 on the ARIA chart and certified 4 x platinum.
It went Top 10 in America and was one of the most played tracks on Top 40 radio.
Worldwide it’s now been consumed over 10 million adjusted singles, including over 1 billion streams worldwide.
The video has over 310 million views on VEVO.
Last year they teamed with Nicki Minaj for the single ‘Kissing Strangers’ and more recently with Sir Rod Stewart on their reworking of his ‘Da Ya Think I’m Sexy’ which they performed from Las Vegas on the MTV Video Music Awards.
