Sydney outfit DMA’S are aiming for a big debut week for their new album The Glow, with the record on track to be their highest charting to date both in Australia and the UK.

The trio previously reached the #8 position on the ARIA Albums Chart with their 2016 debut record Hills End, while 2018 release For Now went one spot better, going as high as #7.

Now, according to mid-week data, DMA’S could get their first local chart-topper, though they’ll face stiff competition from Lime Cordiale whose new record 14 Steps To A Better You is also being tipped for a top-end debut.

Juice WRLD’s posthumous album Legends Never Die could threaten the plight of the Aussie acts, and is also on track for a Top 3 debut.

Meanwhile over on the official UK Albums Chart, DMA’S are well placed for a debut in the Top 5. The midweek chart has the popular trio currently at #3, behind that aforementioned Juice WRLD release and the new record by The Streets.

The band could be celebrating bit debuts on both charts when they perform for new Aussie music TV show The Sound, a team-up by Mushroom Vision and ABC premiering this Sunday, July 19.

DMA’S recently announced some exclusive ‘unplugged & intimate’ live shows in Sydney and Brisbane across late July and August 2020.

Meanwhile Lime Cordiale are mid-way through up their their run of speakeasy album listening parties, and will follow up shows in Sydney with a number of performances in Newcastle, Brisbane and Adelaide in the next few weeks.
