Digital Chart Wrap: Three new #1s
ARIA Streaming
Drake takes the title of most streamed artist on this week’s ARIA Streaming chart as Hotline Bling makes it up to #1 from #8, finally claiming the top spot on its eighth week in the chart. His reign at #1 may be short lived though as Justin Bieber and Adele debut at #2 and #3 with Sorry and Hello respectively.
This pushes Bieber’s What Do You Mean? down to #4 from #1, of course it’s not all bad news now that he has two tracks inside the Top 5.
Dawin’s Dessert makes it into the Top 10 at #8 from #11, finally reflecting the success he’s seen on the other digital charts. Shawn Mendes’ Stitches makes a jump into the Top 20 at #16 from #25 while Zara Larsson & MNEK’s Never Forget You debuts at #23.
LunchMoney Lewis finally sees some traction on the chart, hitting #26 from #32. Duke Dumont’s Ocean Drive debuts at #30 this week while Marcus Marr & Chet Faker’s The Trouble With Us takes a debut at #39.
iTunes
A new #1 holds the iTunes chart this week with Adele’s Hello taking the top debut ahead of Justin Bieber’s Sorry at #2. The two debuts move Drake’s Hotline Bling down to #3 from #2 while Macklemore & Ryan Lewis’ Downtown see a drop to #4 from #1. Zara Larsson & MNEK’s Never Forget You enjoys a big jump in movement to #5 from #24 while Duke Dumont enters the Top 10 at #9 from #18 with Ocean Drive.
Outside the Top 10, The Weeknd inches closer to the bracket at #12 from #14 with The Hills, ahead of Conrad Sewell’s Who You Lovin, which replaces him at #14 from #22. Shawn Mendes enjoys a move up to #29 from #52 with Stitches.
Avicii debuts high at #26 with Broken Arrows whilst Zhu enters at #40 with Working For It followed by Gwen Stefani’s Used To Love You at #49. X Ambassadors see a huge leap from their track Renegades which hits #39 from #6 followed by One Direction’s Home at #41 from #66.
Shazam
Zara Larsson & MNEK’s Never Forget You is the new #1 on this week’s Shazam chart moving up from #2 whilst pushing The Weeknd’s The Hills down to take the spot. Marcus Marr & Chet Faker are up at #4 from #7, whilst Adele’s Hellomakes a big jump to #5 from #39. Justin Bieber’s Sorry marks the only other new entry into the Top 10.
Shawn Mendes sees continued success with Stitches now taking #12 from #22, as does Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike at #15 from #32. Philip George & Anton Power enjoy some movement up to #27 from #33, as do Rufus similarly at #28 from #35. DJ Snake makes a move into the Top 50 at #31 from #52 followed by Jack Garratt’s Breathe Life at #36 from #66 and Jai Wolf’s Indian Summer at #38 from #51.
Avicii and David Guetta make for the only two debuts in the Top 50 this week with Broken Arrows debuting at #37 and Bang My Head featuring Sia & Fetty Wap at #41 respectively.
