Digital Chart Wrap: One Direction debut high
Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud remains at #1 for a third week now since debuting at the top spot of the Shazam 100 three weeks ago. Klingande’s Jubel moves back up to #2 as Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’s Prayer In C falls to #3. Alesso’s Heroes has climbed up to #5 from last week’s #8, a new peak for the track. At #9 is Labrinth’s Let It Be which makes a big jump form #22, breaking into the Top 10 and reaching a new peak for the single. Some notable debuts in this week’s Shazam chart can be seen from Avicii’s The Days which enters at #42, Lorde’s Yellow Flicker Beat which comes in at #33 and One Direction’s Steal My Girl which is the highest debut at #23, all huge singles in their own respect and we’ll definitely be seeing all three climb the airplay and digital in coming weeks. The Top 5 of the Spotify 20 chart remains the same this week with Calvin Harris & John Newman’s Blame at #1, Taylor Swifts Shake It Off at #2, Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass at #3, Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’s Prayer In C at #4 and Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj’s Bang Bang at #5. Movement starts at #6 with G.R.L’s Ugly Heart moving up from #7. At #8 is Echosmith’s Cool Kids which climbs up from #11. Replacing them at #11 is a new debut from Ed Sheeran with Thinking Out Loud, his hit single that has been racing up the airplay and singles charts. Sam Smith’s I’m Not The Only One jumps to #12 from #16. At #20 is a new debut from Katy Perry with This Is How We Do, only just not gaining traction in the streaming charts after being released a few months back. The ARIA Streaming chart sees no movement this week within the Top 3 with Calvin Harris & John Newman’s Blame sitting at #1, Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass at #2 and Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’s Prayer In C at #3. Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off moves up to #4 from last weeks #5, being replaced by Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj’s Bang Bang. Becky G’s Shower has made some gains in the Top 10, moving from #10 to #8 and Echosmith’s Cool Kids has just managed to break the Top 10, going from #15 to #10. In regards to new entries, Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud enters at #19 this week. The Script’s Superheroes also made a debut this week at #27 and should be climbing into the Top 20 come next week’s chart.
