Digital Chart Wrap: Australians progress
Australian artists have dominated the digital charts this week with five artists now sitting in the top 10 the ARIA Streaming and Shazam chart. This week’s Shazam chart sees Tove Lo’s Stay High sitting at #1 for its fifth week. Out of nowhere, this week’s #2 is Illy’s March-released track Tightrope, the track that has definitely enjoyed a long time on all charts and still manages to surprise, it jumped from #18 to #2. David Guetta’s Lovers On The Sun featuring Sam Martin is this week’s #3 after jumping from last week’s #10. A new high debut in the chart is G.R.L’s Ugly Heart which has entered the chart at #5, no doubt as a result of the success this track has had on commercial radio. This week’s ARIA Streaming chart sees Iggy Azalea’s Fancy featuring Charli XCX hold the #1 spot for an eighth week interrupted now. Given all of Azalea’s chart success, this track should hold tight to the #1 spot for quite some time. #2 this week is still Am I Wrong by Nico & Vinz, which also looks like it wont be moving for quite a while. At #3 is Sia’s Chandelier which jumped from #8; the sudden boost in streaming success can be attributed to her #1 album 1000 Forms Of Fear, which as of yesterday, topped the Billboard album chart. Aside form Sia’s movement this week, there has been relatively little to no movement on the ARIA Streaming chart.
