Digital Chart Wrap: AronChupa re-enters and takes #1
In a very strange turn of events, AronChupa’s I’m An Albatraoz has re-entered the Shazam 100 at #1, after debuting at #1 two weeks ago then falling out last week. #2 sees a new peak for Clean Bandit & Jess Glynne’s Real Love, eerily following in the footsteps of their previous smash single Rather Be. It will be interesting to see if this track maintains airplay in the early weeks of 2015. Hozier’s new bullet of a track Take Me To Church shoots up to #6 from #42. Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’s Prayer In C is proving to be a slow burner, climbing to #16 up from #31 this week, a new peak for the track which has been in the chart for 21 weeks now. George Ezra’s Blame It On Me breaks the Top 20 this week just landing at #19 up from #36.At #31 is a new debut from James Bay’s Hold Back The River. Chris Brown’s New Flame enjoys a re-entry at #41 and The White Buffalo & The Forest Rangers’ Come Join The Murder debuts at #42.
The ARIA Streaming chart is following the lead of the Singles chart this week with Mark Ronson’s Uptown Funk featuring Bruno Mars taking the top spot this week. The track is at #1 from #2, forcing Ed Sheeran’s Thinking Out Loud down to #2 after just three weeks in the chart. At #5 is Hozier’s Take Me To Church which is up from #10, replacing it at #10 is Meghan Trainor’s Lips Are Movin which is a re-entry. Lilly Wood & Robin Schulz’s Prayer In C is enjoying shared success on this chart as well, up at #15 from #31. Peking Duk’s Take Me Over featuring Safia breaks the Top 20 this week landing at #17 from #24 and will no doubt be climbing in the first few weeks of the new year.A new debut appears at #28 from AronChupa’s I’m An Albatraoz, which if every other chartis anything to go off, will be on its way to the Top 10 in no time.
