Delivery Signs Worldwide Deal With Heavenly Recordings (EXCLUSIVE)

Heavenly Recordings, the revered U.K. indie label, signs Delivery to a worldwide deal, The Music Network can exclusively reveal.

The Naarm/Melbourne five-piece rock outfit is the latest Australian act recruited to Heavenly’s roster, alongside the likes of Confidence Man, Hatchie, King Gizzard and the Wizard Lizard and Mildlife.

Founded by Jeff Barrett in 1990, the London-based label released the first albums from Saint Etienne, Beth Orton and Doves, and early singles by Manic Street Preachers.

To celebrate the new deal, Delivery today (July 11) releases the new single “Digging the Hole,” a busy, three-and-a-half minute garage rock nugget, with a deft, late change of pace.

Formed in 2020 by Rebecca Allan and James Lynch, its members assembled from several well-liked and well-followed Melbourne bands – including The Vacant Smiles, Gutter Girls and Blonde Revolver.

Delivery does what its name suggests. By unleashing their brand of no-nonsense rock, the five-some has enjoyed a co-sign from Henry Rollins, and critical praise for their 2022 debut album release, Forever Giving Handshakes.

“Underneath the rapid-fire vocal delivery, intricate guitar interplay is rife; it’s always a case of more is more,” declared Tone Deaf at the time.

Festivals spots have opened up at Golden Plains, BIGSOUND, SXSW Sydney, Tent Pole and Meadow Festival, and they’ve landed support spots for Pond, Tropical F**k Storm, Wednesday and others.

Currently, the gang is touring Europe for a trek spanning 20-plus dates, that will see them perform alongside London Grammar, Khruangbin and more later this month at the U.K.’s Latitude Festival.

TMN can also confirm the band’s signing to Select Music (for ANZ) and Wasserman (UK/EU) for live bookings.

“Digging The Hole” is the first track written for Delivery’s forthcoming second LP, which will be released via Heavenly Recordings. Details will be “announced shortly,” reps say.
