Courtney Barnett announces second album, drops lead single ’Nameless, Faceless’

Courtney Barnett has released the lead single from her forthcoming second albumTell Me How You Really Feel.

Following a mysterious teaser earlier this week, Barnett has unveiled the single ’Nameless, Faceless’ – in anticipation of the follow up to her acclaimed 2015 recordSometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit.

The single is now available to stream and purchase, after indie record stores worldwide received vinyl copies of the track out-of-the-blue.

With ’Nameless, Faceless,’ Barnett returns to the refreshingly honest lyrics of her debut album, with a more extroverted lens, and a punk instrumental to boot.

Barnett’s debut album,Sometimes I Sit And Think And Sometimes I Just Sit, won the J Award for Album Of The Year and saw the Aussie win Best Cover Art, Best Independent Release, Best Female Artist and Breakthrough Artist at the 2015 ARIAs.

There’s nothing to suggest that her follow-up won’t be just as significant as the record that saw her sell out shows across five continents, top year-end lists worldwide and make it into then-POTUSBarack Obama’s workout playlist.

Tell Me How You Really Feel will be released via Barnett’s own label Milk! Records, and Remote Control Records, on May 18.
