Since its premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, Cobain: Montage of Heck by Oscar-‐ nominated filmmaker Brett Morgen (“Crossfire Hurricane”, “The Kid Stays In The Picture”) has received a phenomenal response from fans and critics alike, and from June 4 it can be yours on Blu-‐ rayTM and DVD.

Cobain’s mother kept an incredible amount of childhood videos and family photographs, and with Kurt himself keeping a vast array of artwork, photography and journals, writer/director/producer Brett Morgen has been able to create a visual feast that is cleverly enhanced with additional animation by Hisko Hulsing.
Morgen weaves together moving first-‐person testimony from Cobain’s mother and sister, his widow, Courtney Love, the first fully authorised feature documentary on Kurt Cobain
Also featured are dozens of Nirvana songs and performances, as well as previously unheard Cobain originals. Co-‐produced by Universal Pictures International Entertainment Content Group and HBO Documentary Films, visual artist Frances Bean Cobain, Cobain’s daughter, is Executive Producer.
Eight years in the making, COBAIN: MONTAGE OF HECK chronicles the life of the legendary musician through a lifetime’s worth of work.
