CMC Rocks sells out immediately for second year
21,000 weekend tickets were snapped up when tickets for CMC Rocks Queensland went on sale this morning.
That’s the second time that the country and roots event – the largest of its kind in the southern hemisphere – sold out immediately.
“We’re constantly blown away by how passionate and loyal CMC Rocks fans are,” said festival director Jeremy Dylan.
“Whether you’re joining us for the first time or you’ve been with the festival since day one, we can’t wait to welcome you to Ipswich next March as part of our biggest sold-out crowd to date.
“It’s going to be one hell of a weekend.”
Michael Chugg, executive chairman of Chugg Entertainment, said: “What an incredible result! Selling out CMC Rocks on the morning of on-sale, for the second year in row is a testament to the commitment and passion from the country music fans in Australia.
“We couldn’t be prouder to be delivering the premiere country music festival to some of the loudest and proudest music fans in the country!
“It’s a bittersweet moment, to celebrate without our long-time partner, Rob Potts but we know he’ll be loving every minute of this, this one’s for you, Pottso!”
Promoters say the festival will have an aggregated audience of 60,000 over three days.
The bill includes Florida Georgia Line, Kasey Chambers, Troy Cassar-Daley, Thomas Rhett and a phenomenal range of upcoming acts from Australia, the US and Canada.
CMC Rocks Queensland is held on Thursday, March 14 (for campers only), Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 at Willowbank in Ipswich.
