Charts & Music Manager

Hot 100 For five weeks now, Nico & Vinz’ Am I Wrong has sat at the top of the TMN Hot 100; all of last week’s likely contenders fell short but more have risen to the challenge. At #2 is the hit single from The Madden Brothers, We Are Done. The track jumped from #8 to #2 and sits at its highest peak on the TMN Hot 100 yet. Given its success on the ARIA Singles chart it’s safe to say that this stellar hit could very well be the thing to topple Nico & Vinz. Elsewhere in the top ten, Tove Lo’s Stay High reaches a new peak at #5, moving up from last week’s #7, David Guetta & Sam Martin’s Lovers On The Sun enters the top ten jumping from #11 to #6 as did Ella Henderson’s Ghost which went form #12 to #7. Plenty of possible contenders for the top spot. There is plenty of other prominent movement this week outside the top 10. Vance Joy’s Mess Is Mine pushed further into the top 40 after jumping from #49 to #32. Paloma Faith’s Only Love Can Hurt Like This is set for a top ten entry next week after jumping from #36 to #14. Iggy Azalea’s Black Widow featuring Rita Ora is almost the most moved track this week after leaping 33 places from #70 to #37. Usher’s She Came To Give It To You featuring Nicki Minaj took that title. The single moved a massive 43 spots from #72 to #29. Two new debuts can be seen in the top 60 from Katy Perry and Meghan Trainor. Katy Perry’s new single This Is How We Do entered at #55 while Meghan Trainor’s All About That Bass came in at #54. This is impressive considering that it was both of the track’s first week at radio. ARIA Singles It’s been an eventful week in the top ten of the ARIA Singles chart. The Madden Brothers have finally conceded the #1 spot to another artist. That artist is Paloma Faith and her single Only Love Can Hurt Like This. The track becomes the British singer-songwriter’s first #1 on the ARIA chart. It moved from #7 to the top spot, no doubt benefiting from a recent synch on Channel Seven’s Winners & Losers. At #3 is a debut from Gabrielle Aplin’s Please Don’t Say You Love Me. It is her second appearance in the top five and is the follow up to her first appearance with The Power Of Love, which peaked at #5 in April this year. This week’s #4 is a new entry into the top ten from G.R.L. Their single Ugly Heart jumped 12 places from #16 and becomes their first appearance in the top ten as lead artists. At #6, will.i.am’s It’s My Birthday featuring Cody Wise makes its first top ten appearance. The track jumped from #29 following the pair’s live performance of the track on the finale of The Voice. ARIA Albums Ed Sheeran returns to #1 with his latest album X(Multiply). The track originally debuted at #1 four weeks ago and has slowly climbed back to the top. At #2 is Brisbane’s Sheppard who have held the spot for another week, surpassing Taylor Henderson by one chart position. At #9 is a new debut from ’Weird Al’ Yankovic titled Mandatory Fun. It’s his 14th studio album and is his highest peak on the ARIA Albums chart to date. In the same week it is also his first #1 on the Billboard charts in the US. Gabrielle Aplin is also enjoying success on the Albums chart this week with English Rain landing at #10, its highest peak yet. To view the rundown in full, subscribe to the charts.
