Chart Wrap: Ginuwine enters ARIA chart after 18 years

The Weeknd holds #1 for another week with Can’t Feel My Face staying put after moving up to the top last weekend. Galantis hits a new career peak at #4 with Peanut Butter Jelly moving up from #8, and Robin Schulz enters the Top 10 at #6 from #11 with Headlights. Lost Frequencies mark the last new entry into the top bracket with Are You With Me climbing to #10 from #23 after another week of consistent airplay.
Pia Mia’s Do It Again featuring Chris Brown makes strong movement up the chart to #25 from #41, as does Nick Jonas’ Jealous which sees a small boost in airplay to #40 from #50. Most moved this week is Selena Gomez’s Good For You featuring A$AP Rocky which moves 33 positions up to #51 from #84.
This week only one track debuts in the Top 50 and that is Jessie J’s Ain’t Been Done. Demi Lovato’s Cool For The Summer sees a healthy debut at #52 while Peking Duk’s Say My Name featuring Benjamin Joseph debuts at #57 after less than a week of airplay.
ARIA Singles
Meghan Trainor clocks up week four at #1 on the ARIA Singles Chart with Like I’m Gonna Lose You featuring John Legend.It is now tied with All About That Bass for weeks at #1. Lost Frequencies continue their chart domination moving up to #3 from #16 with Are You With Me, getting closer to matching their success on the UK charts with a #1. Galantis finds a new highpoint at #5 from #8 with Peanut Butter Jelly and Major Lazer’s Powerful featuring Ellie Goulding & Tarrus Riley moves back into the Top 10 at #8 from #15.Ginuwine sees a strong debut at #31 with ’90s R&B hitPony, making his first re-entrance into the ARIA Singles chart in 18 years. The comeback is attributed to its feature in theMagic Mike XXL trailer and reapeated use in the film. The film took around$200-million at the globalbox office.
ARIA Albums
John Farnham & Olivia Newton-John’s Two Strong Hearts remains at #1 for a third week and the remainder of the Top 4 sees no movement at all. The first new debuts come at #5 and #6 with Years & Years’ Communion and Tuka’s Life Death Time Eternal respectively. Years & Years’ debut album sets an impressive benchmark for the British group and features the ARIA charting singles King (#9) and Shine (#48). R5’s Sometime Last Night has the next highest debut, entering at #19 and marking their highest ARIA charting album to date.
