Chart Wrap: Frank Ocean sets new career milestone

Major Lazer returns to #1 from #2 with Cold Water ft. Justin Bieber & MØ, now on its second week at the top, the longest run at #1 any Major Lazer single has ever had on the Hot 100. The Chainsmokers crack #3 from #5 with Closer ft. Halsey, while Mike Perry’s The Ocean makes it into the bracket at #9 from #11.
The first bit of big movement occurs at #35 with Tove Lo’s Cool Girl hitting #35 from #61. DNCE’s Toothbrush makes it to #43 from #56 on its third week in the chart followed by Bernard Fanning’s Wasting Time at #50 from #64. Most moved this week is Martin Garrix’s In The Name Of Love ft. Bebe Rexha at #24 from #51. Garrix’s last single to chart was Don’t Look Down ft. Usher which peaked at #34.
No new debuts enter in the Top 50 though Calum Scott comes close at #56 with Dancing On My Own. Ellie Goulding’s Still Falling For You enters at #63 followed by Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Ty Dolla $ign, & Logic’s Sucker For Pain at #65.
ARIA Singles
It’s a completely stagnant Top 5 on the ARIA Singles chart this week with The Chainsmokers’ Closer ft. Halsey holding the top spot for what is now its third week.
The first noteworthy change comes at #8 with the monster collaboration from Lil Wayne, Wiz Khalifa & Imagine Dragons, X Ambassadors, Ty Dolla $ign, and Logic, Sucker For Pain. It breaks into the Top 10 at #12 on its third week in the chart and is the second single from the #1 charting Suicide Squad: The Album to enter the Top 10.
Further down the chart Shawn Mendes scores a debut for Mercy, followed by Hailee Steinfeld & Grey at #33 with Starving ft. Zedd. Ellie Goulding takes the next debut at #36 with Still Falling For You.
ARIA Albums
Frank Ocean knocks out his first ever #1 ARIA Album this week with Blonde, the follow up to his acclaimed debut channel ORANGE. It was released a day after video album Endless(rounding out his contract with Def Jam) and his first released independently.
Ball Park Music take the next entry at #3 with Every Night The Same Dream, their third Top 10 entry and the follow-up to #2 peaking album Puddinghead. Drapht’s Seven Mirrors debuts at #4 followed by Roy & HG’s This Sporting Life at #6. Dolly Parton’s 43rd solo album Pure And Simple debuts at #9.
Outside the Top 10 John Williamson scores a notable entry at #14 with His Favourite Collection. Guns N Roses’ Greatest Hits re-enters at #17 following the announcement of their Australian reunion tour last week. At #19 is a re-entry from the aforementioned channel ORANGE by Frank Ocean.
