Charts & Music Manager

Hot 100

This week, Paloma Faith pushes to #1 with Only Love Can Hurt Like This jumping from #3 and pushing The Madden Brothers back down to #2. Faith’s #1 comes only five weeks after entering the chart and has continued to climb since entering at #66. Elsewhere in the top ten, Meghan Trainor’s All About That Basss has entered at #7, moving from last week’s #21 – the track is one of this week’s most moved. Ariana Grande’s Break Free has moved from #11 to #8, George Ezra’s Budapest entered at #9 from #14 and Sam Smith’s Stay With Me finally broke the top ten after moving three places to #10 from #13.

The top 50 is absolutely riddled with high movers this week. Klingande’s Jubel went from #38 to #17,  AJR’s I’m Ready moved from #46 to #26, Troye Sivan’s Happy Little Pill moved from #82 to #43 (on its second week in the chart ) and Sam Smith’s I’m Not The Only One moved from #78 to #39 and claims the title of this week’s most moved track. It moved 39 places, also only in its second week on the chart. The Hot 100 also sees some ridiculously high debuts this week. The Script’s Superheroes entered at #38 and Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj’s Bang Bang debuted at #15!

ARIA Singles

While Paloma Faith may be enjoying the #1 spot on the TMN H100, she’s lost the top spot on this week’s Singles chart to Meghan Trainor and her hit single All About That Bass. Jessie J, Ariana Grande & Nicki Minaj’s Bang Bang broke into the top five at #4, jumping up from #22, all on its second week in the Singles chart.

Outside of the top ten Klingande’s Jubel jumped from #41 to #11 and there are plenty of new debuts this week; Nicki Minaj’s single Anaconda entered at #39, Maroon 5’s Maps re-entered at #30,  Katy Perry’s This Is How We Do debuts at #27  and AJR’s I’m Ready enters at #16.

ARIA Albums

It’s another week of top three debuts in the ARIA Albums chart this week. At #1 is Angus & Julia Stone’s self titled album. Oneday’s Mainline took the #2 spot and Sydney’s psych-rock reggae outfit Sticky Fingers claim the #3 debut with their second LP Land Of Pleasure. The soundtrack to Guardians Of The Galaxy debuts at #7 this week making it the second soundtrack to sit in the top ten this week, the first being Frozen’s soundtrack which is currently at #5.

Outside the top ten there are debus from Anja Nissen and her self titled album at #11 as well as Eric Clapton & Friends with The Breeze – An Appreciation of JJ Cale which entered at #17. George Ezra’s Wanted On Voyage breaks the top 20 this week after jumping from #31 to #20, no doubt benefiting from the success of his single Budapest.
