Chart Wrap: Blur see Top 5 debut, Khalifa maintains lead

It’s a familiar Top 2 this week with Wiz Khalifa and Major Lazer retaining their positions for another week. Walk The Moon’s Shut Up & Dance sees a new peak at #3 up from #9, as does Jamie Lawson’s Wasn’t Expecting That hitting #4 from #8 –both tracks spent three weeks in a row within a position of each other. Galantis’ Runaway marks the only new track to enter the Top 10 this week with a jump to #9 from #13.
David Guetta’s latest track Hey Mama featuring Nicki Minaj & Afrojack sees a jump to #19 from its debut point of #51 this week. Sia’s Big Girls Cry makes a lengthy leap forward to #36 from #73 while Mumford & Sons’ new single The Wolf hits #54 from #64. The most moved this week comes from Birds Of Tokyo’s Anchors,which moves to #22 from #99, a total of 77 positions.
Three new debuts take place within the Top 50 this week. At #23 is Grace’s You Don’t Own Me featuring G-Eazy, a week before its official service to radio. Nathaniel’s Flava takes its entry at #39 while Danny Mercer’s Who Are You Loving Now? enters at #41.

Four weeks is how long Wiz Khalifa’s See You Again featuring Charlie Puth has remained at #1, tying Ellie Goulding’s Love Me Like You Do for most weeks at #1 in 2015. Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s Lean On featuring MØ remains at #2 followed by Jamie Lawson’s Wasn’t Expecting That at #3. Hitting a new peak at #4 is Walk The Moon’s Shut Up & Dance while also earning Gold certification. Earning a second track with his name on it, now as the lead artist, is Charlie Puth with Marvin Gaye featuring Meghan Trainor. David Guetta’s Hey Mama featuring Nicki Minaj & Afrojack hits #10 from #27, making for his 14th Top 10 single.Two noteworthy debuts take place at #14 and #26 this week, the first coming from Grace’s You Don’t Own Me featuring G-Eazy and Hermitude’s The Buzz featuring Mataya & Young Tapz respectively.

Sam Smith’s In The Lonely Hour remains at #1 following it achieving its new peak last week, post-tour sales remain strong even though he was forced to postpone dates of his Australian tour, which started last week.Blur takes the highest debut this week with The Magic Whip debuting at #5, their first album since 2003 and their second to make the Top 10. Josh Groban’s Stages sees a debut at #6 this week, his first album to break the Top since 2007’s Awake. Human Nature’s Jukebox re-enters the chart at #12 whole Millencolin’s True Brew sees a debut just behind it at #16. The last debut to be seen in the Top 20 comes from Deez Nuts’ latest album Word Is Bond which comes in at #20, setting a new personal best for the band with their previous highest peak being #35 with Bout It.
