Chart Wrap: Adele trumps Coldplay’s LP debut

After 16weeks in the chart, Duke Dumont’s certified banger and slow burner of a hit Ocean Drive finally makes it to #1, his first ever on the TMN Hot 100. The move forces Adele’s Hellodown to #2 from #1 while giving room to Justin Bieber’s Sorry, which now sits at a new peak of #3 up from #4.

Bieber’sother new single Love Yourself takes a new high point at #5 up from #11, marking the first new entry into the Top 10. DJ Snake’s Middle featuring Bipolar Sunshine makes the second high point at #7 up from #21 followed by Rudimental’s Lay It On Me featuring Ed Sheeran at #10 from #12.

Outside the Top 10, The Weeknd’s In The Night makes a move for the Top 20 at #20 from #30 on its second week in the chart. Cyrus’ Stone follows close behind at #24 from #39 while Charlotte Devaney’s Flip It featuring Snoop Dogg just enters the Top 30 at #29 from #45.

Most moved this week is up-and-comer Alessia Cara with single Here. The track received quite a few additions on commercial radio last week with the resulting airplay pushing it to #40 from #91, a total of 51 positions.

Only one debut enters in the Top 50 this week with the latest from Hilltop Hoods, Higher, featuring James Chatburn debuting at #36.

ARIA Singles

Justin Bieber takes a new #1 on the ARIA Singles chart this week with Love Yourself taking the top spot from #2 and forcing Adele’s 3x Platinum single Hello down to #2.

With an otherwise stagnant Top 6, DJ Snake makes for the next movement at #7 from #19 with Middle featuring Bipolar Sunshine. It makes for his first Top 10 position ever. Hilltop Hoods’ Higher featuring James Chatburn sees a debut of #9, the track being the first single from the forthcoming Walking Under Stars/Drinking From The Sun: Restrung album.

Outside the Top 10 Sigala enjoys a #11 debut from Sweet Lovin’ which sets a new career peak for the producer, beating previous single Easy Love’s peak of #14.

Coldplay make a move to #20 from #36 with Adventure Of A Lifetime, a new peak following the release of new album A Head Full Of Dreams.

ARIA Albums

Adele now reigns supreme for week three on the ARIA Albums chart, selling more than the brand new Coldplay album A Head Full Of Dreams which debuts at #2. It’s Coldplay’s seventh studio album and the follow up to previous #1 charting album Ghost Stories.

Troye Sivan’s Blue Neighbourhood debuts strong at #6 followed by Cyrus’ self-titled album at #14. The last notable debut this week comes in at #36 with G-Eazy’s new LPWhen It’s Dark Out. It’s the second studio album from the artist and includes a single with Grace who had the #1 charting single You Don’t Own Me featuring G-Eazy earlier this year.
