EMI Music Australia signs Charley for debut single ‘Hard For Me’

Pop singer Charley has signed on with EMI Music Australia.

The artist’s debut single ‘Hard For Me’ came out this week.

Mark Holland, the general manager of A&R at EMI Music Australia, said the signing was A&R scout Helena Ho’s first, and “one to be incredibly proud of”.

“Team EMI are really excited to have Charley join the family, and what a debut single to showcase her vocal ability and immeasurable pop smarts. Charley has immersed herself within the Australian songwriting community and making huge waves behind the scenes with her contemporaries,” he added.

The single, ‘Hard For Me’, has been a long time coming, Charley said, noting that as a Virgo she is “not patient”.

“In my head, this has always been my debut release,” she added. “It’s got such a special place in my heart. I’ve had such a vision for every single part of it.”
