Chicago, Illinois’ Chance The Rapper in one of the most exciting names on the rising tide of modern hip hop. With his career beginning in 2010, it was his second mixtape Acid Raps that saw the then 20 year old defining the zeitgeist with downloads numbering well into the millions. In 2015 the release of the free LP Surf confirmed Chance as a major player and again had influential music media racing to come up with fresh superlatives to describe the ascendency of this new hip hop star. Beyond The Valley will be the first ever Australian show for Chance The Rapper.

Grammy nominated deep house producer ZHU came to mainstream levels of attention with the 2014 banger “Faded” bringing to a wider audience information that those in the underground already knew, ZHU is a major player! Preferring to keep his real identity on the down low, ZHU continues to rewrite the rules of modern EDM, his brand new album GENERATIONWHY has just dropped and features the track “Hometown Girl” which see ZHU distill his audio magic into a 4:12 slice of 4-on-the-floor dance pop heaven. With standout festival sets already in the bag, BTV is in for a massive treat from ZHU!

Jessica Cerro, better known by her stage name Montaigne first came to the notice of Australian music fans in 2012 as a finalist of triple j’s Unearthed High competition with the track ‘Anyone But Me’. Since then the Sydney based singer-songwriter has delivered on that early promise delivering a string of amazing releases including her debut single ‘I Am Not An End’, which was triple j’s 36th most played song of 2014. It’s hard to miss Montaigne these days on stages around the country, having sold out her recent debut headline tour and while securing choice festival slots.

After a chance meeting on the streets of Newtown, Sydney in 2012, Sticky Fingers came together bonding over mutual hobbies like music and weed (the basis of every substantial friendship). A melting pot of reggae, psych, pop and bourbon, Sticky Fingers hypnotise you into a swaying trance, then punch you in the face for dancing like a hippy. Their borderline contradictory fusion of flavours speaks to every walk of life, and it’s this multiplicity which makes the world their oyster.

Multiple ARIA winning singer songwriter Ladyhawke is a well-known, and of course well-loved commodity in Australia. Her self-titled debut solo album spawned the monster hits ‘Back Of The Van’, ‘Paris Is Burning’, ‘Dusk Till Dawn’ and ‘Deliruim’ and went on to go Gold, winning her a legion of Aussie fans in the process. Born in New Zealand as Pip Brown, the multi-instrumentalist, singer and songwriter has taken on the world with her retro hued pop diamonds, gracing stages and winning hearts at every major festival across the globe.

What So Not is an electronic music project by Australian producer Emoh Instead (Chris Emerson), and formerly a duo with wunderkind producer Flume. Hailing from the sandstone bedrock that is Sydney, What So Not initially set their sights on the world in 2013. One part electronica breakthrough ‘Flume’, one part Aussie all-star ‘Emoh Instead’, this young duo caused quite a stir in the year gone. Transcending genre & BPM, their highly intense live shows & sound had them Dubbed ‘Voice of the ADD generation’. What So Not will slay at BTV.
