Cass Hopetoun is part of an emerging generation of young Australian country artists, and this week she tops the country airplay chart.

Her sophomore single ‘Typical Bride’ hits #1 on the TMN Country Hot 50 powered by Radio Monitor this week.

The achievement follows her debut single ‘Shots’ reaching #4 on the chart earlier in 2020.

‘Typical Bride’ was written with fellow rising Aussie country star Blake Dantier, and hits the chart’s peak after just four weeks.

Fellow local acts in the Top 10 include The McCymonts’ chart-topping ‘Free Fall’ (#3), Hayley Jensen’s ‘Breakin Hearts’ (#5), and Andrew Swift with ‘Meant To Be’ (#7).

The title for the highest debut of the week also goes to a young Aussie band, as Darlinghurst return with their latest single ‘Gotta Go Rodeo’.

They topped the Country Hot 50 last year with ‘Sorry Won’t Get You Back’, their first #1 on the chart.

Sia loses her #1 spot on the TMN Hot 100 this week, with Topic & A7S reclaiming the top spot thanks to their single ‘Breaking Me’.

It’s not all bad news for the Aussie singer-songwriter though, as her team-up with David Guetta ‘Let’s Love’ lands the highest debut of the week at #20.

P!nk, the most successful artist in the history of the TMN Hot 100 (with 14 chart-topping singles), joins with local legend Keith Urban to break the chart with ‘One Too Many’ this week.

Despite only being released a few days ago, Aussie radio is spinning the tune so hard that it debuts at #34. It’s definitely one to watch next week after a full week of spins.
