Cameron Hoy Promoted at TEG
Cameron Hoy climbs the ladder at TEG, a reward for his “significant contribution” to the growth and evolution of its Ticketek subsidiary.
Sydney-based Hoy rises from managing director at Ticketek, one of Australia’s “big two” ticketing agencies, to a group-wide role as COO and head of global touring at TEG.
With effect from today (Dec. 12), Hoy will oversee numerous divisions across the business, from TEG’s Data Science, Analytics and Digital divisions, Product and Technology, in addition to his duties for running TEG’s Global Ticketing operations.
“I am delighted to appoint my longtime colleague Cameron Hoy to the role of chief operating officer and head of global ticketing,” says TEG Group CEO, Geoff Jones in a statement announcing Hoy’s new role.
Hoy, he continues, “is an experienced executive leader, with excellent business acumen and has a proven track record of delivering innovation and growth across our Ticketing, Digital and Data Science divisions over many years.”
With this promotion, adds Jones, Hoy is recognised for his “significant contribution to our company and reflects TEG’s increasingly global footprint. I look forward to continuing to work very closely with Cam in his new role and to be working together to deliver the best possible ticketing, digital and data solutions for our partners across the globe”.
Among his recent wins, Hoy facilitated Ticketek’s official partnership for Spotify’s Live Events Feed, and was behind the rollout last month of an accessible booking platform. Also, Ticketek recently struck a “frequent flyer” pact with Qantas.
“Cameron’s promotion recognises his significant contribution to our company and reflects TEG’s increasingly global footprint. I look forward to continuing to work very closely with Cam in his new role and to be working together to deliver the best possible ticketing, digital and data solutions for our partners across the globe”.
Founded in 1979, Ticketek’s Australian presence sells over 23 million tickets to more than 20,000 events each year, according to a statement on its official website, including concerts at ANZ Stadium, Qudos Bank Arena, Rod Laver Arena, Hisense Arena, Suncorp Stadium, and Brisbane Entertainment Centre.
It’s global push has seen Ticketek launch branded affiliates in the U.K., New Zealand, Malaysia, the Philippines and Ticketek Marketplace, among other properties.
Hoy is keen to take the business forward.
“I am immensely proud of the Teams’ achievements and to lead teams of exceptional people who believe so strongly in our vision to continue to build the world’s leading Ticketing, Digital and Data Science platform,” he comments.
“With digital innovation & technology moving faster today than it ever has before, there’s ample opportunities for expansion and growth across the many facets of the TEG business – both locally and globally. I am delighted to be taking on this new role at such an exciting time of growth for TEG as we build TEG into a truly global organisation.”
He continues, “I am particularly grateful for Geoff’s ongoing support and leadership, we have enjoyed an excellent working partnership for many years, and I look forward to continuing to work closely together as TEG embarks on its next phase of growth and innovation.”
