BTS team up with McDonald’s for signature meal and merchandise range
K-pop icons BTS have partnered with McDonald’s to launch a new signature meal order.
Available at participating restaurants around Australia, the BTS Meal has 10 Chicken McNuggets, large Fries, large soft drink and Sweet Chili and Cajun dipping sauces, which are said to be inspired by recipes from McDonald’s South Korea.
The band have accompanied their signature meal with a limited edition head-to-toe merch capsule, exclusively available on the Weverse Shop app.
Inspired by a hand-picked selection of menu items from the BTS Meal, the merch collection is comprised of an assortment of hoodies, bathrobes, socks, sandals and more.
The collaboration also coincides with the launch of a new McDonald’s commercial featuring BTS’ latest single ‘Butter’.
Liz Whitbread, McDonald’s senior brand manager, noted the significance of the collaboration as it is McDonald’s Australia’s first celebrity signature order after the restaurant relaunched its celebrity meal offerings alongside Houston rapper Travis Scott last year.
“We know our customers and crew have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of our first celebrity signature order in Australia, and we’re thrilled that the collaboration is finally here,” Whitbread said.
“We couldn’t be more excited to start seeing our guests enjoying the BTS Meal and sporting their favourite pieces from the exclusive merch line.”
