Brisbane’s Clea signs to Tina Arena’s booking agent [EXCLUSIVE]

Brisbane singer-songwriter Clea, who has been serving up healthy doses of ethereal dream-pop since 2015, has inked a deal with fast-growing agency New World Artists.

Joining the likes of Tina Arena, Mallrat, The Hard Aches, Northlane, and These New South Whales, the announcement comes just as her latest single ‘Dreaming’ has been added to full rotation on triple j. The track is loosely inspired by the recent “Me Too” movement.

“We at New World Artists pride ourselves on working with artists who forge their own paths,” New World Artists agent Dominic Miller said.

“Clea brings a unique talent and artistry to the Australian music industry; there’s really nothing else quite like her in the country,” he added. “We’re so happy to be working with Clea and her team, we see a long future ahead.”

Next month (Nov. 23) Clea will release her debut album Vermillion via Mirror Records.

Nick Lynagh, General Manager at Clea’s label and management firm Mirror Music Group, said: “We are very excited to welcome Dom and Brodie from New World Artist to the Clea team and can’t wait to see what the future holds.”

Recorded together with her partner, musician/producer Alistar Richardson, Vermillion was created in a hand built recording studio perched over the Scenic Rim in Queensland.

“The process of recording the album together, without the burden of time constraints, allowed the songs to evolve, weave and turn,” said Clea. “I’m so thankful for the collaborative ease and inspiration I share with Ali when it comes to making music. We really challenged ourselves musically within this album, providing the perfect platform for my sentiments to take hold.”
