Rising songwriter, musician and producer Tyron Hapi has signed an exclusive global publishing deal with BMG.
A Melbourne native, Hapi is making heads turn in the music industry through his work on a string of hit singles, including the platinum-certified ‘Anyway’ featuring Mimoza and gold-certified ‘About You’ featuring Laurell.
Also, Tyron worked with Masked Wolf on the Aussie rapper’s global smash ‘Astronaut In The Ocean’, which has amassed more than 109 million streams on Spotify and upwards of 18 million hits on YouTube.

Aged just 21, Hapi’s portfolio of works have gathered more than 300 million streams globally, and his 2020 single ‘Lonely’ feat. SUD & Sam Bruno went to No. 1 on the Mediabase Dance chart.
“Tyron is a superb talent,” comments Heath Johns, BMG Managing Director Australia & New Zealand.
“As a solo artist he has incredible streaming numbers and as a producer he has one of the biggest hip-hop songs in the world right now and plenty more in the can. I’m delighted to extend our ongoing relationship with Lucky and couldn’t be more thrilled to have Tyron join our global publishing roster”.
Hapi joins a publishing roster at BMG that includes Australian artists Alison Wonderland, What So Not, Peking Duk, Client Liaison, KLP, Cut Copy, SLUMBERJACK, Kwame, Illy, Winston Surfshirt, JET, SAFIA, Wolfmother, Running Touch and others.
“I’m so grateful to be a part of such a prestigious company with an incredibly talented roster,” Hapi remarks. “Excited for all the great music that is yet to be made”.

BMG planted its flag in Australia in mid-2016 through the acquisition of J Albert & Son Pty Ltd, the legendary independent recording and publishing company that launched the careers of AC/DC, the Easybeats and many others.
In other news, BMG is going green.
In a statement late Wednesday (24th February) out of its headquarters in Berlin, BMG announced a long-term strategy to avoid, reduce, and offset CO2 emissions, making it the first carbon-neutral major music company.
As part of the process, BMG has offset the 3,000-tons-plus of CO2 produced in 2019.
“We have already made significant progress, but there is still a lot more to do,” comments BMG’s VP Global Digital Partnerships & Strategy, Christopher Ludwig.
“We look forward to working with the local BMG teams around the world on our ambitious plan to become the first carbon-neutral major music company.”
